FASHION ILLUSTRATION
With over 10 years of an in-depth passion for all things fashion, I have spent years dedicated to studying the historical and current trends of the fashion industry. I was lucky enough to spend two years of my undergraduate at the University of British Columbia taking multiple costume design and wardrobe construction classes within the Theatre and Film Production Departments.
Please enjoy your stay, viewing some select fashion illustrations as well as some of my anatomical figure work.
Underwater Inspired
Ballet Costumes
This collection of ballet costumes was designed to have optimal movement in mind. You can find here inspirational motifs from the forms of sea-slugs, the iridescence of flying fish, crustaceans and the movement and weight of kelp/seaweed.
This project has been made purely for passion and has not been actualized or manufactured.
50s-70s Vintage
Design Study
These illustrations were made to study the classic silhouettes and materials found in vintage dress. Playing with both pattern and the cut of the design allows some proportion exaggerations!
Life-Drawing Sketches
Here, I have some selected sketches from life done from 5 minutes all the way to 20 minutes. Pictured in charcoal, or graphite.
Drawing and illustrating is my absolute favourite pass-time besides discovering decor and fashion from the past and future. Studying the body, exploring the many facets and different ways of looking, deconstructing forms and translating them through our own personal lens will always be mystical to me!
